At Cross Point, we understand the Church isn't a building. The Church is each one of us taking seriously our mission to follow Jesus. We strive to be a tangible example to the outside world of just how much their Savior loves them. While not an extensive list, here are some of the areas where people at Cross Point have and continue to reach out:
Lifeline Christian Mission
Lifeline Christian Mission serves in Haiti, Honduras, El Salvador, Canada, Cuba, Navajo Nation and USA. They provide education, food, nutrition, orphanages and homes to those in need. They have made a huge impact in the areas they serve. Most importantly Lifeline shares the hope of Christ to everyone they reach by working with churches, ministers, and by equipping believers. At Cross Point we support Lifeline physically, financially and by sponsoring children through their organization.
Young Life is sharing the hope of Christ all around America and throughout the world. Young adults are coming to know Christ and finding salvation because of their work. The New Albany branch of Young Life meets at Cross Point on Monday nights. We are honored to be hosting this incredible group whose vision is that “Every adolescent will have the opportunity to meet Jesus Christ and follow Him.”
Johnstown Food Pantry
Johnstown Food Pantry works to meet the needs of Johnstown. They offer a helping hand to those in need and as a church we help provide much needed food to this great organization.
The Alternative Center
The Alternative Center, which is housed at Cross Point, is an integrated community based day program for extraordinary people with extraordinary abilities. We work with adults with developmental disabilities and special needs. We pride ourselves in providing high quality care with a focus on security and dependability.
Youth for Christ: Gracehaven
Gracehaven's mission is two-fold: to eradicate child sex trafficking in Central Ohio, and provide rehabilitative, trauma informed care to survivors.
Gracehaven was founded to care for the growing number of victims of domestic minor sex trafficking. More than 1,000 minors are sexually trafficked in Ohio annually. To effectively care for victims and prevent others from being enslaved in this life, Gracehaven employs a comprehensive approach to combating domestic minor sex trafficking: community collaboration, prevention education & awareness, intervention training and survivor care & support. At Cross Point we have partnered with Gracehaven by providing meals, donating materials and praying for the girls and staff.
Faith Mission works to provide food, housing and resources to people in Columbus. As a church we send volunteer groups down on a regular basis to serve food at their downtown shelter.
