Cross Point Worship Team Audition Process
Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for our worship experiences at Cross Point Christian Church! This community is sustained by its amazing volunteers!
The provided resources are intended to give you an idea of how to prepare outside of rehearsal spaces. This is a good indication of communication within our campus worship teams. The process of listening to content and preparing at home is very similar to preparing for our services. All of our campuses utilize in-ear monitoring, so click-track competency is essential for each musician and vocalist.
Before your audition
After completing the worship team application form, we ask you to review our Worship Team Volunteer Expectations. This is to ensure that you understand the spiritual expectations of being held in a leadership role as a potential member of the worship team. Once you have submitted your application and reviewed the expectations, you can continue with the audition process. This is a requirement to be completed before your audition.
We also ask you to review the Team Style Guide. Upon any dress code confusion and questions, this will be your reference.
In-Person Audition
After submitting your application, someone will reach out to you to schedule an in-person audition.
// WHAT TO BRING\\
You will need to bring a pair of pluggable in-ear monitors or headphones to use during your audition. This is necessary for you to hear yourself, the click tracks, and the cues.
Drummers & Keyboardists will use the Cross Point stage drums and keyboard. Drumsticks are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own
Guitarists & Bassists will need to bring their corresponding instruments, as well as guitar picks. In/out ¼ inch cables are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
We ask you to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled audition time. Upon arrival, you will be given a short overview of how the process works, and time to adjust your in-ear mix.
We ask that during your audition you give your utmost quality in showcasing your talent. We ask you to prepare as closely to the recording as possible. Staying with the click-track and following the cues are necessary for your audition. At the end of your audition, you will receive feedback about your performance.
